A few years ago, I was struggling with inter-cat aggression with my two cats, Chester & Redford. It's a very common problem that many people have in multi-pet households. I had never heard about pheromones before. I looked on some different websites for reviews and I was amazed by what I was reading! What I learned from the Behavior Clinic was that all cats have a natural amount of stress naturally built in to their personalities. It's almost too much stress, although it is natural. The pheromones balance this out without medication. It not only helps with inter-cat aggression but also with scratching, spraying and territorial issues. Feliway is a brand that I recommend and I get my supplies from Amazon.com. Many sites carry them but I seem to get the best deals on Amazon. You would need to purchase a diffuser (similar to a glade plug-in) and the refills. Each diffuser is a one-time purchase and the refills last about a month. It is a small investment but I have noticed a big difference and a major decline in fighting. I can even tell when I am running low because Chester gets very irritable and is easily aggravated by Red. Each diffuser covers about 700sf. I highly recommend trying pheromones in cases with behavioral problems. I have read they work for dogs too!
