Wedding Cheer from Sparky!

I had to share!! I got married a couple of months ago in Colorado and while I was there, Sparky's family sent me this picture to let me know that Sparky was excited for my wedding too :) I also added another recent picture of Sparky that I just adore!
Isn't he so cute!! Sparky is living the good life now in Newton NJ with the Cannon Family. They are now fostering two more dogs and Sparky is in K9 Heaven! The owner of the two dogs is having financial problems and asked if someone would foster his dogs while he gets thing together. They landed in the best home ever! So happy for the two pups!!

Hudson - ADOPTED!

I am not sure if I ever had a chance to even blod about Hudson. Hudson was rescued by two men just after Sandy. He appeared in their large parking garage and people would hear him cry and feed him. He would stay under cars for warmth. Finally the two men decided to rescue him and bring him into their home. They called Gerry and we jumped into action. Hudson was a full grown male cat. First things first, we neutered him. He was given his shots and we started to evaluate his socialability.
Hudson was a sweethart with seperation anxiety. He would cry all night when I wasn't with him or petting him. After many long nights and a lot of lost sleep, he finally came around and relaxed.
Hudson went to his forever home a few months ago and they are very happy with him. We are so happy for everyone!

Brody Update! YAY!

BRODY UPDATE!!!
I just got some new pictures of our baby kitten Brody!!! Look how handsome he is and how big he has gotten! His daddy John said he is the love of his life. They live together in Queens NY. If you remember, I found Brody in Jersey City just before Sandy hit. He was very sick, dehydrated and on his last legs of life. With a few vet visits, a lot of fluids, meds, food, love & time, Brody came around! We made it through the storm together, in the dark, but John came for him soon after the lights came back on :) He even managed to get two of his friends to drive to Hoboken NJ to pick Brody up, as the tunnels and bridges still had a 3 person minimum from the storm. That showed me how much John already loved Brody.
So happy to see that Brody is doing well! One of our most exciting rescues!!

First Update of 2013!

HEY FOLKS!
It's been a while. We have been busy with the holidays and with some rescue work but we wanted to share some updates!
We have TNR'd another 4 cats/kittens since our last update outside of Sabor Restaurant in West New York.
Two more were rescued from the restaurant and found loving homes!
Another update is that a friend of mine who adopted our resident puppy Sparky, did a slideshow of our rescues!
Check it out here!
