With Halloween just around the corner, we starting thinking about last years big rescue. Here is an update on two of the kittens that were rescued that day. Bobby (the tuxedo) and Madison (the tortie) were 2 of the five kittens found in the abandoned warehouse in Hoboken. They were adopted together and live in a wonderful home in Hoboken complete with two amazing parents and a very sweet and funny young girl named Ryan. It was so great to find them a home together because Madison really needed to be with one of her siblings. She wasn't a happy girl while she was alone in foster for a few days after her brother RJ was adopted. We immediately put her in Bobby's foster home so she could be with one of her siblings and then we had our happy healthy kitten back! I can't believe they are 1 year old right about now!
The family has said that they are doing really well! Both are very affectionate, and Madison has 'turned into an excellent hunter... there have been a few bug-catching incidents in recent days.' Bobby's a total mush, loves to sit in their laps when they are watching TV. 'Lots of watching the squirrels in the trees outside our windows.' They're also both big lickers... Madison will spend a half-hour grooming her daddy's arm hair if he lets her. This is funny because when I was fostering all five of the kittens, they would clean each other constantly. I was shocked at the amount of time they would spend on one another. I guess they kept it up!
They continued on to say that Ryan just loves them both, and Maddie is particularly easy with her. Ry used to pick her up and just carry her around by her front armpits "so she'll get used to me picking her up". And Maddie didn't seem to mind at all.
Sounds like everyone is doing great and we couldn't be happier! Madison and Bobby were very special kittens. Funny Bobby especially won our hearts over while he was with us after the rescue. We knew Madison would be terrific with little Ryan as she was always the gentle little sister of the litter. Another happy fairyTAIL ending!!
