Pet Air Travel Tip

Tip of the day 1/30/12: When traveling on an airplane with your pet, make sure you put your pet in a harness while in the carrier. You will need to take your pet out of the carrier in the security check. Your pet could get scared so having them in a harness is important. Keep the leash seperate and outside of the carrier so your pet does not get tangled up.

Introducing a new cat to your home

One of the most common questions we get is, 'how do I bring a new cat into my home when I already have a cat?' There is a lot of information online about introducing a new pet but we find the ASPCA has the best information. Here is the link to their article on introducing a new cat.

We can't emphasize enough how important it is to follow the steps detailed in this article. Many people open their homes to a new cat and don't follow the steps above and when it doesn't work out, they give the new cat up. Bringing a new cat into the home takes time and patience. There are some pets who just need to be a solo pet, but most can learn to live together as long as the introduction is done correctly.
